News

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, we want to share the latest progress on the pool project for the past week:

Recent Developments

Over the past week, we have seen a flurry of activity in the pool mechanical room, bringing us closer to the pool’s reopening. One significant milestone was the delivery of the long-awaited heat pump for the small pool, allowing us to make substantial progress in updating various aspects of the pool equipment.

Throughout the past week, our electricians have been working diligently, making new home runs back to our electrical panel for the pumps and other equipment. We encountered an unforeseen challenge with a crucial electrical component, which was backordered for an astonishing 26 weeks. However, our electrical contractor decided to act promptly and proactively. They opted for an alternative solution readily available, and we are thrilled to share that they have received approval from the City of Centennial for this change so they can move forward immediately.

Additionally, the plumbing connections for the heaters and the main pool have been successfully completed. This achievement marks a crucial step as we establish a continuous loop between all the equipment and the large pool. Once the pumps are wired in, we will be ready to circulate water through the large pool, filters, and chlorinator.

Heat Pump Delivery

The new heat pump for the small pool has arrived, and its location has been finalized. The routing for plumbing and electrical connections for the small pool’s heat pump has been determined, and we anticipate completing the connection of the heat pump in the coming days.

Remaining Tasks

While we have made significant progress, there are still a few items on our “punch list” that need to be completed before we can be fully operational:

1. Installation of the water feed line and automatic water fill system for both the large and small pools.
2. Running the gas line for our two large pool heaters.
3. Installing vents for the gas heaters for the large pool.
4. Adding the chlorinator for the small pool.

In addition to the above items, as mentioned previously:

5. Installing the electrical and plumbing for the heat pump in the small pool.
6. Connecting the electrical for the pool pumps.

Anticipating Opening

Our pool equipment room is small and limits the number of trades working simultaneously. However, we are confident that electrical work will be completed tomorrow, followed by plumbing and HVAC in the following days.

If everything goes as planned, we anticipate starting to fill the pool this week and have already communicated with our pool maintenance contractor, who has been remarkably flexible. They will credit us for the time the pool has been closed, allowing us to extend the pool season without incurring additional costs.

As we eagerly anticipate the pool’s long-awaited opening, our dedicated team is making steady progress towards providing you with an enjoyable and safe swimming experience. We are working diligently to finalize all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC connections. Once these crucial steps are completed, we will swiftly begin filling the pool, initiate filtering and cleaning processes, and ensure everything is in top condition for the much-anticipated opening. Your understanding and support have been invaluable throughout this journey, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to the pool very soon.
