Maintenance Staff
$18 – $20 per hour.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time and Seasonal Maintenance Worker to join our team. As an employee, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of sprinkler systems, general lawn care, and various landscaping tasks. This position offers a flexible schedule, part-time hours, and a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20 per hour. Please note: This position does not include any additional benefits outside of hourly compensation.

Responsibilities:

1. Sprinkler System Upkeep
   • Perform weekly sprinkler checks to ensure proper functioning and coverage.
   • Identify and repair broken sprinkler lines, heads, valves, and other components.
   • Address supply line leaks for individual units as necessary.
   • Adjust sprinkler heads for optimal water distribution.
2. Lawn Maintenance
   • Conduct general lawn clean-up, including debris removal and leaf raking.
   • Perform weed spraying every 2-3 weeks to maintain a weed-free environment.
   • Lay mulch in garden beds to enhance the aesthetic appeal and moisture retention.
   • Repair or replace edging for defined borders and neat appearance.
3. Tree and Bush Pruning
   • Prune shrubs and trees to promote healthy growth and maintain desired shapes.
   • Remove dead or damaged branches to prevent potential hazards.
   • Shape and trim bushes to enhance their visual appeal and overall health.
4. Garden Bed Maintenance
   • Plant new flowers, plants, or shrubs to refresh barren garden beds.
   • Ensure proper spacing, depth, and watering for newly planted vegetation.
   • Monitor and address weed growth within garden beds.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in sprinkler system maintenance and general lawn care is preferred.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler systems, including identifying broken lines, heads, and valves.
• Knowledge of irrigation principles and methods for efficient water usage.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and pruning tools.
• Proficient in weed spraying techniques and knowledge of herbicides.
• Experience in pruning trees and shrubs to maintain their health and appearance.
• Basic understanding of plant care and gardening techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
